14th Research Colloquium of the School of Science
The School of Science (SSC), University of Management and Technology (UMT), organized its 14th Research Colloquium on September 19, 2025, at the Saleem Asghar Ali Seminar Hall, bringing together faculty and researchers to highlight current developments in scientific research.
The colloquium featured “Beyond Fossil Fuels: How Plasma Physics and Staged Pinch Device Could Solve Our Energy Crisis” as the Topic of the Month, with Laser and Plasma Physics as the Research Focus. The session was presented by Dr. Arshad Majid Mirza, Professor, Department of Physics, School of Science, with contributions from Ms. Hira Yaseen and Dr. Qurat-ul-Ain.
The event also featured an AI-focused theme, “An overview of AI-powered platform ‘Answer This’ to conduct citation-backed Literature Review,” presented by Syed Nasrullah Ali Qazi, Lecturer, Department of Physics, School of Science.
The 14th Research Colloquium reflected the School of Science's commitment to promoting research, interdisciplinary scientific exploration, and the integration of emerging technologies into academic research. The event was aligned with SDGs 4 (Quality Education), 9 (Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure), and 17 (Partnerships for the Goals).
