13th May 2026 - Visit to COMSTAS University
The Department of Physics, School of Science, University of Management and Technology (UMT) organized an educational visit for its BS Physics students to COMSATS University Lahore, providing students with an opportunity to gain practical exposure to modern laboratory facilities, scientific equipment, and contemporary research practices.
During the visit, the students explored various Physics and Biomedical laboratories, where they observed advanced scientific instruments and learned about their applications in research and experimentation. The visit enabled students to connect their classroom learning with practical applications and develop a deeper understanding of modern experimental and research techniques.
The students were warmly received by the faculty and staff of COMSATS University Lahore, whose guidance and cooperation contributed significantly to making the visit an informative and enriching academic experience.
The visit was facilitated by faculty members from the Department of Physics, UMT, including Associate Professor Dr. Qayyum Zafar, Assistant Professor Dr. Muhammad Tahir, Assistant Professor Dr. Saira Shaheen, Professor Dr. Arshad Majid Mirza, and Professor Dr. Zaheer Hussain Shah.
Such academic visits are an integral part of the Department of Physics' efforts to enhance students' practical knowledge, laboratory skills, scientific understanding, and exposure to contemporary research environments. The experience also encouraged students to explore the broader applications of Physics in interdisciplinary fields and advanced scientific research.
