The Department of Physics cordially invites esteemed guest Dr. Ghulam Murtuza Musharraf from SHS, UMT to give a presentation on the research opportunities in Medical Physics for the Ph.D. program. The highlight of this presentation was to share details about the potential Ph.D. project in Medical Physics offered by Dr Ghulam to the prospective students. Dr Murtaza is working as Assistant Professor at MI Department SHS UMT Lahore Pakistan. He obtained MSc Physics, MPhil Physics (medical physics), PhD Physics (medical physics) and Post-doctorate in Medical Physics. Dr Murtaza has an extensive experience being an academic & clinical radiation physicist scientist since March 2005 to-date and firmly believes to enhance expertise in the same discipline. Besides this he also has gained research and clinical experience through several international fellowship training, workshops and courses completed in Australia, England, Italy Denmark and IAEA.
Medical Physics has wide applications in cancer diagnosis and treatment. Dr Murtaza kindly agreed to deliver a presentation about the subject of Medical Physics, its importance and applications in the cancer centers of Pakistan.
Dr Murtaza is also Senior Associate Scientist at Abdus Salam International Centre for Theoretical Physics Trieste Italy in the discipline of Medical Physics. He would like to discuss some foreign funded PhD projects in Medical Physics at ICTP Italy.
