The Department of Physics proudly orgainzed the Guest Lecture Series on 2nd November 2023, this time it invitied distinguished and esteemed guest speaker , Mr. Ahsan Mehmood to present the talk about "Future Synthetic Fuels" held at 1C-14, Main Building UMT. The Guest Lecture Series was modereated and chaired by Assistant Professor Dr. Sidra Khalid.
Mr.Ahsan Mahmood works as Regional Technical Consultant representative for the MAN Energy Solutions SE, multinational company pioneering in the production of large-bore gas, diesel engines and and turbomachinery for marine, rail and stationary applications, as locomotive and marine propulsion systems, power plants applications, and turbochargers.
The presentation talk by Mr.Ahsan Mahmood covers the highlights about the importance of uses of synthetic and it's production from renewable energy sources and emphasised by the company's perspective how this process might tackle carbon emissions and battle against environmental changes in global warming.
