Dr. Iftikhar Ali earned his Ph.D. degree from University of the Punjab, Lahore, Pakistan. He worked on evaluation and genetic screening of indigenous bacteria to produce biodegradable biolpolymers (Polyhydroxyalkanoates, PHA). He has expertise in fermentation process for these PHAs biosynthesis that he learnt from Queen's University, Canada. Moreover, he has published papers on bacterial potential to increase plant growth and phytocompounds that show antibacterial activity. He is an HEC approved PhD supervisor and was awarded HEC indigenous and HEC IRSIP scholarships as well. He holds teaching and research experience of more than 10 years at various institutes in Pakistan.
