Chairperson's Message
Physics is the study of laws and principles which govern this universe. It is equally unknown at the very large scale, at the galactic scale, and at the very small scale, at the sub-atomic scale. At a very large scale, the James Web telescope is on a voyage of discovery to this unknown, and at a very small scale, the CERN is in search of this unknown. The spinoff of this is technological advancement. We at the Department of Physics prepare the minds that span the whole journey to this unknown and its spinoffs. We have people specialized in Astro Physics, Particle Physics, Material Science, Nuclear Physics, Laser Physics, and Plasma Physics. We are offering Undergraduate and graduate programs in Physics, Short courses in Physics, and a Minor Degree Program in Physics. We have well-equipped undergraduate labs and a dedicated Advanced Research lab. Through our Outcome-based education, we are planning to produce graduates according to the Market needs. Through our COOP program, we are planning to give our graduates hands-on industry experience.
