The University of Management and Technology (UMT), Lahore, proudly announces the “UMT 3rd International Conference on Emerging Trends in Physics (ICP-2026)” with the theme “Smart Energy Solutions: Physics for a Sustainable Future.” This conference highlights the pivotal role of physics in shaping next generation clean energy technologies, efficient resource management, and sustainable industrial innovation. ICP-2026 supports global efforts toward a greener planet by aligning with several key Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), including.

Scope of the Conference

The theme “Smart Energy Solutions: Physics for a Sustainable Future” covers, but is not limited to, the following areas:

  • Clean & Renewable Energy: Solar, wind, hydro, geothermal, biomass, fuel cells, and advanced energy-harvesting materials.
  • Smart Energy Systems: Smart grids, IoT-based energy solutions, digital twins, AI-driven optimization, and modern energy storage technologies.
  • Advanced Materials for Energy: Thin films, semiconductors, nanomaterials, photocatalysts, and thermoelectric or energy-efficient materials.
  • Low-Carbon & Circular Technologies: Carbon capture (CCUS), waste-to-energy, sustainable manufacturing, and resource-efficient industrial processes.
  • Climate & Environmental Physics: Climate modeling, water–energy–environment interactions, and physics-based environmental monitoring.
  • Emerging Physics for Energy: Quantum materials, fusion and plasma physics, and advanced computational/theoretical energy research.

 

Registration & Abstract Submission:

  • Participation as participant / oral (10-15 min) / poster (size: portrait 3 x 4 feet) presentations are invited.
  • Abstract (structured with 300 words max.) are required for submission.
