Welcome to ICP-2025: Unveiling the Future of Physics
The University of Management and Technology (UMT), Lahore, is proud to host its UMT 2nd International Conference on Emerging Trends in Physics (ICP-2025) with the theme of Mitigation of Carbon: Pathways Towards a Sustainable Future. This conference aims to address one of the most pressing global challenges—carbon mitigation—and to advance Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) such as SDG 7: Affordable and Clean Energy, SDG 9: Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure, and SDG 13: Climate Action.
By fostering interdisciplinary collaboration, ICP-2025 will provide a vibrant platform to exchange ideas, explore innovative technologies, and develop actionable strategies to reduce carbon emissions, enhance renewable energy adoption, and combat climate change.
Scope of the Conference
The theme ‘Mitigation of Carbon: Pathways Towards a Sustainable Future’ is focused on, but not limited to the following topics:
- Renewable Energy Technologies: Solar, Wind, Hydroelectric, Biomass, Geothermal, and Fuel Cells
- Carbon Capture and Utilization: Innovations in carbon sequestration and storage solutions
- Green Hydrogen and Ammonia Production: Next-generation fuel sources
- Circular Economy and Industrial Transformation: Waste-to-energy technologies and sustainable manufacturing
- Emerging Materials for Energy Efficiency: Thin films, semiconductors, and photocatalysts
- AI and Smart Grids: AI-driven optimization in energy systems
Registration & Abstract Submission:
- Participation as participant / oral (10-15 min) / poster (size: portrait 3 x 4 feet) presentations are invited.
- Abstract (structured with 300 words max.) are required for submission.
