I completed my PhD from New Your University, New York and then served for about 3 years in state University of New York, Brooklyn. I 1983, I joined the Aga Khan University, Pakistan and served there for 36 years. I retired in 2019 and moved to Lahore to join uMT as Professor of Life Sciences. In 2001, I was decorated with Sitara-e-Imtiaz. I hold the Fellowships of Pakistan Academy of Sciences, Pakistan Accademy of Medical Sciences, Pakistan Society for Biochemistry and Molecular Biology and Zoological Society of Pakistan. I have won atleat 21 research grants and have been a supervisor of a number of MS and PhD students. I am currently also Professor Emeritus of Aga Khan University. I have more than 170 publications in various journals of national/international standing.
